Capital pays tribute to nine organizations
THE Malaysian Venture Capital & Private Equity
Association (MVCA) has given awards to nine
companies in recognition of their contributions in
supporting new businesses or projects by
entrepreneurs and high growth companies.
Among the recipients are HSBC Bank Bhd MCA ICT
Resource Centre, Multimedia Development Corporation,
Malaysian Debt Ventures Bhd, Malaysian Biotechnology
Corporation, Malaysian Venture Capital Management
Bhd, The Cradle Fund and Lim Kok Wing University of
Creative Technology.
These contributions were in the form of capital
financing, incubation of innovative ideas and
technology as well as assistance and support towards
the commercialisation of products or services.
“MVCA is also giving awards to venture capital and
private equity companies which have raised funds
between 2006 and 2007,” MVCA chairman Azam Azman
said at the MVCA Annual Awards Dinner 2008 in Kuala
Lumpur.
He said the recipients included CIMB Private Equity
& Venture Capital, Malaysian Technology Development
Corporation Sdn Bhd, Malaysian Venture Management
Incorporation Sdn Bhd and Mayban Ventures Sdn Bhd. |
