PROFOUND VACCINE SDN BHD

Profound Vaccine Sdn Bhd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Life Sciences Academy Sdn. Bhd. It was incorporated on 13 June 2002. Profound Vaccine was formed to commercialize biotechnology R&D findings by Life Sciences Academy or its partners such as universities and research institutions.

Currently, Profound Vaccine’s main activity is the production and commercialization of the “KUSTEMvax” spray-based intranasal vaccine against Pneumonia Pasteurellosis disease in sheep and goats (small ruminants). Field trials (done by Universiti Putra Malaysia and Kolej Uuniversiti Sains dan Teknologi Malaysia (KUSTEM)) have shown that KUSTEMvax has the ability to reduce livestock death rate caused by pneumonia up to 90%.
