Success Nexus Sdn Bhd (SN) was incorporated in 2002 and is a Malaysian company with international partners from Europe and North America. SN is licensed to manufacture bio-diesel and glycerin at its plant located at the Lumut Port, Perak, Malaysia.
SN’s mission and/or goal is to be a leader in the production and distribution of bio-fuel using multi feedstock to substitute for petroleum diesel (fossil diesel) and adhere to UNFCCC Kyoto Protocol for a Cleaner World via the use of bio-fuels in the reduction of global carbon dioxide emission. SN is seeking registration with UNFCCC CDM mechanism and SN’s application is currently in progress.
SN’s long-term aim is to be a bio-refinery using biomass and/or bio-products and an R&D center for new green activities:
(a) to transform glycerol into a valuable intermediate chemical product such as dichlorohydrine (bio-plastic)
(b) to winterize palm-based biodiesel economically
(c) to find and optimize production with a single catalyst for both esterification and trans-esterification and
(d) to transform biomass to bio-crude oil.
Todate, SN has successfully completed an automated and continuous mobile pilot plant and is fully operational. The bio-diesel produced was tested and the results comply with EN and ASTM standards.
